Why rain isn't always enough
Keeping your lawn hydrated is the best way to ensure it’s healthy and strong and able to cope with environmental stresses, like heat, wear and weeds.
Once your lawn is established, you will probably start to relax with the watering schedule and may even forget about it! We all do it, but if your lawn starts to brown off, it's easy to restore it’s healthy green appearance with a good drink.
When there's a forecast for rain, it's easy to be overly optimistic that the rain will be enough for your lawn. Just be mindful that unless it's a downpour, the water may not be reaching the root system where your lawn really needs it.
TURF TIP: If you walk on your lawn and the blades don’t spring back up, your lawn is probably dehydrated – give it a good soaking!
